One hundred thirty six years, one hundred and thirty years have passed when one of America’s fashion trademarks was invented.
It was 1853, when Levi Strauss moved to San Francisco to expand his brother’s New York dry goods business. One of Levi’s customer was a tailor named Jacob Davis, he regularly purchase bolts of cloth form the wholesale house of Levi Strauss & Co. Among Jacob’s customer was a difficult man who kept ripping the pockets of the pants that Jacob made for him. From there Jacob tried to think of a way to strengthen the man’s trousers and one day hit upon the idea of putting metal rivets at the point of the strain, such as on the pocket corners and at the end of the base of button fly. These riveted pants were an instant hit with Jacob’s customer, and because of its success he was worried that someone might steal his great idea, there he decided to apply for a patent on the process but because he doesn’t have enough money to file the papers, he have come up with an idea of having a business partner, he immediately thought of Levi Strauss. Jacob held a proposal to Levi trough a letter, the latter saw the potential of the product in the market and agreed to be Jacob’s business partner. On May 20, 1873, the two men received patent no. 139,121 from the U.S Patent and Trademark Office. That day is now considered to be the official “birthday” of blue jeans. With the patent secured, Levi Strauss hired Jacob Davis to oversee production of the Levi Strauss & Co. San Francisco plant, the same plant which offered retail and wholesale jeans to folks. It was 1873, when the first riveted clothing was sold. That was the start of what is now the jeans.
For more than 100 years of existence in the fashion and clothing industry, the jeans has undergone different forms of changes, it was engineered in different styles, design, colors, cuts and textiles. Today, these globally widespread fashion trend is comes in different forms, and acquisition, retail jeans, wholesale jeans, and other forms, all aiming to bring style and comfort in one package, still standing, loved and patronized not just by common people but as well as the rich and the famous. The success that it is having right now is only owed to two persons, the father, the inventors, and the foundation of the jeans industry; Jacob Davis and Levi Strauss.

Wholesale Shoes: Quality Matters
Posted by maxine.acuff@gmail.com in Jun 26, 2009, under Fashion

In the ever advancing fashion world, shoes are metaphorically walking, it wander as a result of the continuous innovation and upgrade on its engineering design and aesthetic styles. In the United States alone, there are numerous shoe manufacturers which assures quality produced shoes and foot wears, but no matter how hard these manufacturers and producers try to elevate the status of the shoe industry into a new heights, there still remains some who doesn’t have any goal but do create profit for their company disregarding the fact that they need to provide their consumers with quality products, they are those so called “imitators” who unlawfully copy brand names, and product designs but cannot assure caliber superiority which the original fabricator can.
The hip, trendy, and affordable metallic flip-flops and beaded mules of Yellow Box Shoes, the unique, energetic, and cutting edge Miss Sixty shoes, the dazzling array of casual dress shoes of Nine West, the cool character of Diesel, the latest offerings of Chinese laundry, Aerosoles, and Adidas, these are the distinctive brand names that has made a name, and a wave by introducing fresh, innovative, and contemporary shoes, they are also the same brand names imitated by others. The point now is how would we be able to make sure that what we are buying is all authentic and have passed the necessary quality standardization test?
Always bear in mind to buy in stores which are exclusively selling the particular brand and shoe design that we are looking for. There are retail stores and wholesale online stores, be it a retail footwear or wholesale shoes, these stores are those who was given the necessary permit by the brand name to sell and promote their products.
In the web, online retail and wholesale stores are also evident, these is to compete to those stores selling cheap and imitation products who are long dominating the online market.
In the current situation that the world is facing many will take their own advantages, if we will continue to patronize the products of those imitators, we are killing legitimate businesses, and are we going to benefit from it? No definitely, we are just letting those illegitimate to keep on blinding us.
If Price Tag Ensures Quality Why Not
Posted by maxine.acuff@gmail.com in Jun 26, 2009, under Fashion

When we talk about the so called cost of quality, the most common misconception about it come landing. People would say that the word pertains to the price of creating quality merchandise but it is not. Cost of quality refers to the money spent above and beyond the expected production cost. It ensures that the product or service that the customer receives is a quality one. Factors such as labor, materials use, and equipment contribute a lot in the move of COQ.
Apparel producers in particular, once they expect and the output was not able to satisfy their criteria regarding quality chance is that they will repeat the production and that is translated as an additional expense for the company passed among apparel purchasers.
You may be surprise to encounter wholesale apparel stores selling their goods in a higher price in comparison to some, if the price tag ensures quality, then why not. I believe quality deserves the gravity.
In most cases wholesale apparel purchasers expects a cheaper wholesale price, especially those who are involved in retailing business. Come to think of it, you cannot keep your customers by just offering cheap products. As a company you need to provide them with a very important signature and that is quality.
Quality is attainable if every required material is used in production. Buying the needed materials is translated as an expense that’s how the price tag gets higher. You may not be aware but cheaper products just don’t ensure quality and if does not better not to purchase it anymore for it will be nothing but a waste of money and an addition to the laundry.
I would not recommend buying expensive apparels considering that the world is facing a very big crisis but if you are looking for mere quality better be expensive rather than be wasteful.
